Rideau Canal, Dow’s Lake and Ottawa River Bike Tour
10 AM and 2 PM Start Time, May to November
This 1-hour and a half bike tour will allow you to see the best of Ottawa in a short time. Our first stop will give you a chance to see and learn about The Parliament of Canada, Ottawa’s most known building. Shortly after we’ll be cruising down a bike path along the Ottawa River to make our way to well-known bridges and falls that separate Ottawa and Gatineau. From here we’ll make our way down to Dow’s Lake by passing through Little Italy, the charming 100 plus-year-old Italian community. Finally, we’ll ride down the Rideau Canal, a world-renowned canal, to make our way back to our starting location.

2 | Parliament Hill
Stop by the Parliament of Canada to see and learn about the historic building.
3 | Ottawa River
Ride alongside the paved paths of the Ottawa River to make your way to Chaudiere Falls.
4 | Chaudière Falls
Watch and learn about the Ottawa-Gatineau Chaudière Falls and its contribution to clean energy.
5 | Little Italy
Cruise through Ottawa’s Italian community and discover the well-known dining the neighbourhood has to offer.
6 | Dow’s Lake
Make your way around Dow’s lake while riding on a boardwalk and bike path.
7 | Rideau Canal
Slowly make your way back by following the world-renowned Rideau Canal.
8 | RentABike
You’ll be finishing your tour near the end of the Rideau Canal at your starting location.
We loved the waterways and the river views were such a surprise. The guide was fun and experienced. Giant bikes fit nicely and were easy riding.
