Sussex to River House Swim and Bike Tour

10 AM and 2 PM Start Times, Available May ~ October

This 2-hour swim and bike tour will bring you through some of Ottawa’s most picturesque neighbourhoods, parks, streets, bridges and waters. You’ll learn about Ottawa’s history and attractions as we ride through well-known neighbourhoods and parks. Our friendly local guide will point out historical buildings that house some of Ottawa’s most high-profile figures. We’ll even explore some of the capital’s rivers and falls as our excursion follows the Ottawa River and crosses the Rideau River.
Bring a bathing suit and a towel.

We’ll be starting the tour near the end of the Rideau Canal at RentABike’s conveniently located shop.


02. Lowertown

Visit the artistic neighbourhood of Lowertown, known for its local coffee shops and pubs.


03. Minto Bridge

Ride over the Rideau River on Ottawa’s Historic Minto Bridge.


04. New Edinburgh

Discover Ottawa’s upscale neighbourhood that follows the Rideau and Ottawa River.

05. Rideau Hall

Go for a swim at the newly renovated Ottawa River House.



06. Rockliff Park

Discover the numerous mansions and embassies in this downtown neighbourhood.

07. Rideau Falls

Watch the 2 falls of the Rideau River as the water makes its way to the Ottawa River.

08. Sussex Drive

Cruise down the well-known Sussex Drive and pass by the official residence of the Prime Minister.


09. RentABike

You’ll be finishing your tour at your starting location.
